Nano Brow is better than Microblading

Nano brows aka feather brows or nano blading offers safer alternative to microblading less invasive and lasts longer

Microblading became really popular because it promised to create a natural looking brow similar to how our brows looked before we went plucked them too thin! Unfortunately, Microblading healed results do not last as long as we hoped. Nano Brow hairstroke service is similar to Powder Brow in that a tattoo machine is used to create the hair strokes on the brow. You can also combine Nano Brow with Powder and have just a few strokes in the front for texture and powder the tail to make the eyebrow tails more full.

Thankfully with improving techniques we can continue to offer our clients the best services as long as we keep up with them. I am constantly honest with clients about Microblading and the negative affects it has and lack luster results. I wish more artists work honest to avoid so many microblading removal and coverup/correct requests. It is hard to correct and knowing what your end result will be the best solution to avoiding getting brows you do not want!

How does it compare to Microblading?

Nano brows deposits ink further into the skin than microblading to help it last longer and provide the most natural look possible. Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment that uses a handheld tool with several fine needles. These thin pigment strokes create a hair-like appearance for fuller, more well-defined brows. Your initial treatment should last 1-2 years before needing to schedule a touch-up appointment.

Microblading only injects the ink into the very top portion of your epidermis and offers a more mutable look. This technique makes microblading a great option for those with thinner or dry skin textures and individuals who are more hesitant to test out brow tattoo treatments. However, this procedure can leave the skin more vulnerable to scarring and trauma from the multiple needles injecting into its surface.

How to prepare for your Nano Brow appointment:

  • No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure
  • No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)
  • No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely
  • Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure (or 2 weeks after)
  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure
  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before procedure
  • Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure
  • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before procedure

I highly recommend that a touch up is performed for the Nano Brow after your initial appointment to keep the color looking vibrant and the strokes looking crisp. Skin cells turn over more frequently on oily skin types causing the color to fade quicker than drier skin types. For oily skin types more frequent touch ups may be required which are not included in the original price.

Nano Brows also known as nanoblading is a better form of microblading that works for mature and oily skin.
